Baking has come to mean many things for author over the years: memories of watching his grandmother make cakes to spending hours experimenting in the kitchen and sharing the joy with friends to baking becoming his quiet refuge after a hectic day. Book is a collection of 100 amazing desserts. Book is divided in six parts (cakes, cookies, cupcakes and muffins, frostings and fillings, tarts and pies, and last one more sweet treats).The quality of the book and pictures are impeccable and enticing at the same time. Mostly recipes contains eggs. Being a vegetarian i didn't find the book very practical for me. It is a perfect read for all those with a sweet tooth out there and would like to try out new and exotic yet simple desserts to extinguish their sugar craving. All desserts are mentioned along with their method and ingredients required for it's preparations. In this book, author shares a range of desserts from a gooey caramel, chocolate tart, mini Lemmon chiffon cakes to an exotic litchi rose tiramisu.

Coming to the book, Book is a perfect combination of food and spirituality. That's Why I picked it up. Cover is beautiful. And the title perfectly matches with the content. Most of the place and Prasad of them unknown to me, but because of this book we get to know about them. Although the book is around 270 pages, it can be consumed in three to four sitting. A quick page turner, throwing googlies at you, at the drop of a hat.There are fifteen places and their stories and Prasad. All religions have some teachings in common. They all preach the values of leading a good life and developing courage, character and tenacity to cope with ups and downs of the life. Faith, at its best, is about giving strength and succour. In the end, this is a book largely about Hinduism Written by a Hindu who seeks to answer larger questions about faith. Must read! Padmavati the harlot and other stories

All were beautiful but some of my favorite are The young man with pitted face, the sign of the lion and the sanatan choudhuri's wife.In ‘a little kitten’, a newly married woman finds her life turning dull and insipid as the tedium of marriage begins to settle in. An old woman believes she is a princess and is delighted to be courted by three suitors in ‘the princess of avanti’. a man realizes, too late, that he is in love with the woman he is breaking up with in ‘the sea lounge’. Overall, it's an impressive book, with great visualised writing, and you won't be a disappointment for sure. It has a wonderful cover with intriguing title. Kay infiltrated a ladies kitty party group and tried to unearth their deepest, darkest secrets. They were trying hard to find the truth behind the suicide. Kay's apartment building was shaken by a mysterious death. The answers they were finding were lied under fancy meals, designer dresses and serious blinds. But will kay risk everything to get to them? By Purba Chakraborty Book contains twenty six dramatic stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is a collection of poem by ancient characters speaking to today's generation. It has an unique content. Character presentation is deep.Language was not much difficult . All the poems were nice but some of my favorite were from Ramayana lakshmana, Bharata and Indrajit, and from Mahabharata Karna, abhimanyu, rukmini and last but not the least Partha. As I was very excited to read these book as there are so many characters about whom we haven't heard much. Are were beautiful. While reading them I thought characters are really speaking to me. If you love to read mythology stuff these is definitely for you. |
