A character from Mahabharata you liked the most? Your recent favourite read is?
In his book, Mahabharata Tales-1: Justice for Draupadi and other stories, Deepak M R has retold twelve tales that explore the lives of legendary characters from Vyasa’s immortal epic. There were also many tales from the epic that I had never known before. I liked the way author puts light on their characteristics and relationships. I absolutely loved all the stories! My absolute favourite was The Legend of Ghatotkacha. It is the story of one of the greatest warriors who participated in the Kurukshetra War. The story takes a look at the relationship between the two legendary warriors Ghatotkacha and his mighty father Bheema. The narrations of the stories were absolutely brilliant, even though I have read or heard some of these stories before, the narrations kept me hooked till the end and gave a newer perspective to it. The language used in the book is simple and easy to understand. The concept of the book is brilliant and the cover is very beautiful. Highly Recommended!

What are your thoughts on Patriotism? Also, what do you think of the book by it's cover and title?
"Waving of flags and chanting of anthems, remaining oblivious to changing times and making superficial gestures are how patriots defined now. As citizens, we are obliged to pay taxes and discharge our duties. But guarantee of rights and liberties are seldom realized in return, when in fact, patriotism denotes harmony in people and the patria as opposed to a situation where they tolerate, exploit or forsake each other. Patriotism is the solemn manifestation of the bond people share with the Patria." - Saket Suman, The Psychology of a Patriot Patriotism being a prominent word in today's politics that we all seem familiar with as we have heard it before. For most it is a sense of attachment towards their country. But disappointingly this word is being taken forsaken and misused by many people and political groups for their own benefits and convenience. In his book THE PSYCHOLOGY OF A PATRIOT, Author and Journalist Saket Suman traces the socio-political events of the past and present to portray his vision of patriotism. Spanning through three generations he uses the voices of three protagonists Shashi Tharoor, Romila Thapar and Arundati Roy in an attempt to portray the meaning of Patriotism. He beautifully explains what it means to be an Indian in this time. The author's writing skills are excellent, for a nonfiction read, the book is very gripping and will keep you hooked.
